Start your path to a Family Portrait Painting by compiling individual photos of your family members. These don't have to be the best quality photos, but they should be full body shots when possible, upper torso and head when full body is not possible.

Submit digital copies of your photos using the 'Submit Photos' form. You can also mail hard copies of the photos which I will scan and return to you with your order.

This is where the computer magic starts. I take each photo and carefully remove the backgrounds leaving just the family members. Using these 'clipped' images, I can assemble the whole family as if you had all gotten together for a sitting. Take care of some details like adding uniform shadowing. Finally, to complete the image, I drop in a background based on your description.

Once the composite image is made, I'll send you a proof version so you can make sure everyone is there. If you see something that's not quite right, this is the time to say so.

After the proof image has been approved, the Photo-to-Painting Process can begin. Once I've finished work on the painting, your artwork is produced and ready to be shipped.

Custom Framing is an additional option after your Painted Famiy Portrait has been produced.

The whole process typically takes 3-5 business days from order to shipped painting.
